home / how we can help you / fostering learning, creativity and innovation
Catapult works with clients who see the need to lead – to lead their markets, their stakeholders, or their own people. By definition, this involves positive change – a useful definition of creativity itself.
Catapult makes a clear distinction between creativity – the deliberate process of generating thoughts – and innovation – the deliberate process of turning thoughts into actions. Creativity calls for insights, whereas innovation calls for systems.
After working with Catapult your team or organisation will have learned how to apply simple but effective creative problem solving skills, and you will have a practical system in place to ensure that your great ideas are able to be easily advanced into trial and implementation.
The Catapult creativity process is deliberately simple and practical, and will take your team through five steps:
- imagination: asking the brilliant questions 'why' and 'what if'
- inspiration: finding an idea that might lead to something
- incubation: growing and feeding the idea
- iteration: expressing it powerfully and describing how it will work
- implementation: identifying a systematic process to implement your idea
